Dancing Through Prison Walls presents the West coast premiere of FREEDOM TIME, performing new dances sent from incarcerated kin in Puerto Rico, Michigan, Ohio, New York, and Palestine.
Including Mohamed Abo-Bargs, Denise Blasor, Suchi Branfman, Jay Carlon, Selina Ho, Kenji Igus, Brianna Mims, Amy Oden, Romarilyn Ralston, Terry Sakamoto, Tom Tsai, this work is “a love letter, a roadmap, and a refusal to succumb to incapacitation.” (Romarilyn Ralston, formerly incarcerated for over two decades).
