“Reparto & Ajiaco” Cuban Salsa Suelta

Join Cuban choreographer and educator Kati Hernandez, and her dance company Kimbambula Cuban Dance Ensemble, for two special Pop-Up Workshops in her Saturday Cuban Salsa Grooves program!
“AJIACO” Kati’s Cuban Dance Stew, is one of Kati’s signature classes. This class is a tasty melting-pot of traditional and contemporary Cuban dances and rhythms blended together for a dose of vibrant fun. Timba music, traditional Cuban dances, and Afro-Cuban body movements will be supported by a generous dose of information about Cuban music. Open to all-levels, no partner required.
Reparto is a contemporary Cuban adaption of reggaeton music and dance. Energetic rhythms and infectious beats born form the “barrios” create a street-style dance filled with gyration of the upper body, hips, attitude, syncopated isolations and movements emphasizing the bold sounds of the music and lyrics. We’ll be breaking down some of the current popular dances and moves!
