Benita Bike’s DanceArt at La Crescenta Library

Benita Bike’s DanceArt presents a unique program of dance at the beautiful La Crescenta Library on Saturday, May 24, 2:00pm.
This is a FREE performance, and reservations are not required.

Benita Bike’s DanceArt is well known for engaging dance programs in the community that are entertaining and educational. The Company will present a number of beautifully performed dances along with inviting the audience to ask questions and make comments about the dances presented . You’ll learn how dances are made and how ideas develop into movement that expresses striking moods, images, and stories.

Featured on this program are the following dances:
▪ Griot Songs – 3 stages of womanhood: child into woman, young womanhood, and maturity
▪ Duets from Dance “Aspects of Me” – “Me and Myself” and “Me and Her”
▪ From Where I Sit – Different characters share their states of mind in vignettes titled “Ascending,” “Tired of it All,” “Corruptor,” “Solace,” & “On Edge.”
