In The Garden

Donna Sternberg & Dancers presents In The Garden, a site-specific performance at the Miles Playhouse in Santa Monica.  The beautiful garden landscape at the Miles Playhouse in Santa Monica serves as a stage for five dancers.  Gliding on pathways, moving amongst the plants and seated in various locations, the dancers perform in different areas while the audience moves along with them.  In The Garden uses the framework of plant biology to explore plant life.  Ripe with stunning imagery the work dives into topics such as beauty, protection, environmental degradation and decomposition.  In The Garden is a continuation of Donna Sternberg & Dancers science series, that seeks to build bridges between science and dance by using scientific investigation to draw metaphors for human engagement.
