KaJe Movement Collective’s Dance Apprentice Call

KaJe Movement Collective is looking for an apprentice dancer to support the development of their 2025 Jacob Pillow’s Premiere. Apprentices will work with the company during the following dates:
June 23, 3 – 7 pm @ Pieter Performance Space
June 24, 12 – 4pm @ Pieter Performance Space
June 25, 12 – 4pm @ Pieter Performance Space
June 26, 10 – 1 pm & 3 – 7 pm @ Pieter Performance Space
The Apprentice will be responsible for understudying dancer roles and serve as an assistant to the choreographer (including, but not limited to, supporting the capturing of BTS footage, administrative support, etc.). Apprentices should be strong within Afro-Diasporic (e.g. Afrobeats, Dancehall, Afro-Contemporary, Afro-Caribbean Forms) and/or Street Styles.
This apprenticeship is geared towards college students, recent graduates, and pre-professionals. Apprenticeship will offer pre-professional training with KaJe Movement, a letter of recommendation for future needs, and additional academic program support can be provided on an as-needed basis. Future performance opportunities may also be possible.
